The Hampton Roads Heart Walks are in November, and it’s time to join a team or show your support by purchasing a Newport News Shipbuilding Heart Walk T-shirt.

The Heart Walk, organized by the American Heart Association, is a nationwide celebration and fundraising event to combat heart disease and stroke, two of the country’s leading killers. Shipbuilders are encouraged to join existing NNS teams or create new ones to walk, fundraise and support lifesaving research and prevention programs.

Whether you’re a seasoned walker or just curious, there’s a place for you in this campaign. Here’s how to make an impact:

• Create or Join a Team: Rally your department, ERG, or group of friends. Register here.
• Make a Donation: Every dollar helps fund critical research and education.
• Buy a T-shirt: NNS Heart Walk T-shirts are now available.
• Attend a Walk this November: Choose one of the two locations and represent NNS.
