On May 11, the national COVID-19 emergency declaration was terminated. In preparation, the COVID Council reviewed community transmission trends and transmission levels at Newport News Shipbuilding to determine the company’s COVID-19 policy going forward.

As a result, the COVID hotline was retired May 12, and employees who test positive for COVID-19 no longer have to call the hotline. Instead, employees who believe they contracted COVID-19 while at work are asked to complete the Work-Related COVID Report Form and submit it per instructions on the form. The form is available on NNS’ COVID 411 site on MyNNS.
