Newport News Shipbuilding is a sponsor of the American Heart Association’s 2023 Hampton Roads Heart Walk, which raises funds to save lives from heart disease and stroke – the No. 1 and No. 5 top causes of death in the U.S.

Shipbuilders, family members and friends participated in walks on the Peninsula at Fort Monroe and on the Southside at Chesapeake City Park. NNS employees have contributed to a total of more than $26,000 raised by HII for the Heart Walk. Fundraising continues through December. Visit the Heart Walk website to learn more and to donate.
