As work continues on the 37th Street Parking Garage and consistent with the company’s agreement with the Navy, the new garage partially opened for Navy sailors only on Tuesday, Oct. 20. This partial opening frees up parking spaces for shipbuilders who use NNS shuttles from NetCenter. Please note that any vehicle parked in the garage during the partial opening that does not belong to a Navy sailor will be towed.

NNS anticipates welcoming shipbuilders to use the facility in the coming weeks. Look for more details as this completion milestone approaches.

For now, shipbuilders should be cautious as they travel through the area and adjust to new traffic patterns. To help reduce congestion along Warwick Boulevard near the garage, NNS Security has opened the 37th Street vehicle entrance.

NNS is partnering with the Newport News Police Department to ensure safety for everyone as construction continues.
