Newport News Shipbuilding is preparing to open the new 37th Street Parking Garage. The facility, located along Huntington Avenue and Warwick Boulevard between 37th and 39th streets, will provide additional parking for NNS shipbuilders and Navy sailors.

As work continues on the garage and consistent with our agreement with the Navy, we will partially open the new garage for Navy sailors only on Tuesday, Oct. 20. This partial opening will free up parking spaces for shipbuilders who use NNS shuttles from NetCenter. Please note that any vehicle parked in the garage during the partial opening that does not belong to a Navy sailor will be towed.

We anticipate welcoming shipbuilders to use the facility in the coming weeks. We will share more details as we approach this completion milestone.

For now, please be cautious as you travel through the area and adjust to new traffic patterns. To help reduce congestion along Warwick Boulevard near the garage, NNS Security has opened the 37th Street vehicle entrance.
