Join Newport News Shipbuilding and the American Cancer Society for this year’s Relay For Life, dedicated to celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday and raising awareness about the importance of cancer research.

Shipbuilders can support the effort by creating an NNS Relay For Life fundraising team today. Follow these steps:

• Come up with a cool team name. This year’s Relay For Life theme is “Party like it’s 1776.”
• Visit MyNNS and review the Relay For Life site or go directly to org/nns. Make sure to create a team under Newport News Shipbuilding.
• Follow the registration steps and share the team link with your department, coworkers, friends and family.
• Download the easy-to-use Relay For Life app, ACS FUNdraising, to help run your campaign. Encourage others to join your team and set a fundraising goal of their own to support your team.
• Use the team captain resources on the MyNNS site for ideas to grow your team support and raise funds.
• Join the fun at the 2026 Relay For Life on Saturday, May 2.
