We’re excited to roll out a range of artificial intelligence tools, including Dorothy 2.0, that will boost productivity and creativity across Newport News Shipbuilding. Shipbuilders who have access can use these resources in their daily work.

To help you get up to speed, we recommend three short Percipio learning modules:

1. ​AI in the Workplace – Explore how AI can assist you at work.
2. Responsible Use of AI – Dive into the principles of responsible and effective AI use.
3. Writing Effective AI Prompts for Business – Learn how to create well-written AI prompts.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of these resources to maximize your understanding of AI use. This is not mandatory training. Please work with your supervisor for charging guidance.

A new NNS Artificial Intelligence Policy is also available on MyNNS, outlining permissible use, ethical guidelines and accountability. This policy is intended to ensure that we embrace AI responsibly and ethically, while also reaping the benefits of these powerful tools.
