Newport News Shipbuilding’s Holiday Food Drive supporting the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank starts Nov. 5.

Shipbuilders can contribute by:

• Bringing nonperishable food items to work.
• Making an online monetary donation.
• Purchasing products through the online food donation site.

Any shipbuilder can set up donation boxes and coordinate efforts in their area.

Find boxes here:

• Waterfront: Boxes are available for pick up in the two new silver storage bins located in the North yard and by the Rock. Food donations can also be put in this new bin.
• Outlying Buildings: Anyone can request boxes for their area/building. Boxes will be available for pick up at Bldg. 802 (NetCenter) in the entryway of Suite 173 from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m, Monday through Friday. Enter doors 2 or 3 (on the Wawa side) and follow the signs.
