Newport News Shipbuilding’s Apprentice School hosted a FORWARD (Future Opportunities Reaching the Workforce Apprentice Readiness and Development) event on Saturday, Oct. 11.

More than 100 attendees participated, including over 50 high school students who registered for the event.

FORWARD included hands-on demonstrations in a virtual simulation lab, a short tour of The Apprentice School and an informative Q&A session.
