Each of us answers a noble call to build and support our Navy’s ships in defense of our nation. While we celebrate this work every day, each year we take time to recognize those who have gone above and beyond to best serve their fellow shipbuilders and the Navy. This year, 276 employees have earned the President’s Model of Excellence Award, which recognizes employees at Newport News Shipbuilding whose commitment and achievement act as a model for others.
