Newport News Shipbuilding 5K organizers are looking for dedicated volunteers to help create a safe and memorable experience for runners. Volunteers help by setting up registration tables, directing and helping participants, handing out water and cheering runners on at the finish line.

This year’s race will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Victory Landing Park in downtown Newport News.
