HII and Newport News Shipbuilding make giving back a part of the company culture. Shipbuilders continue to support the communities they live and work in through a partnership with the local United Way. In fact, NNS and HII contributions account for over 40% of United Way of the Virginia Peninsula’s overall contributions each year.

United Way Coordinators will contact shipbuilders and provide details about the campaign and how to contribute. For a one-time payroll deduction, recurring payroll donations or to use a credit card, donate at: http://www.uwvp.org/NNS. You can access this online donation form using your work computer, home computer/tablet or through the NNS to Go app. NNS no longer uses the YourCause giving platform.

The Newport News Shipbuilding 2025 United Way campaign, “Connections Start Here,” begins June 1 and continues through the month. With a company goal of $1.5 million, each person is asked to consider making a donation to this worthy organization. When you give to United Way of the Virginia Peninsula, 100% of your gift goes to support the community and creating pathways out of poverty.
