Dear Shipbuilders,

For the past 15 months, COVID-19 has presented Newport News Shipbuilding, our community and our country with challenges one could have never expected. And while the pandemic isn’t completely over, increased vaccination and declining positive cases are helping us get back to “normal.”

It’s a welcome change.

Given the current COVID-19 climate and as most of our protective measures wind down, NNS’ COVID-19 Crisis Action Group (CAG) will disband, effective July 1.

The COVID CAG inbox ([email protected]) will also be inactivated. COVID-19 testing and vaccine administration has been transitioned to QuadMed. For testing, contact the COVID-19 Hotline at 1-844-243-8749. Please contact the HII Family Health Center or your primary care physician for vaccine-related questions. For other questions or concerns, contact your Human Resources business partner or Labor Relations representative.

Future COVID-19 efforts will be handled by appropriate departments. If the COVID-19 environment should relapse and it is necessary to reinstate protective measures that go above and beyond what the departments can handle, the CAG will be reestablished.
