Dear Shipbuilders:
Every day, we work to protect our shipbuilders and their families from the threats of COVID-19. The vaccine is an important tool to help us with that effort, and we’re working closely with state health and government agencies to ensure we receive enough vaccine for our workforce.

Despite our best efforts, we’ve been informed that we will not receive any vaccines this week. The COVID-19 vaccine is in high demand, and we will continue to stay in close contact with our state partners who oversee its distribution. In the meantime, shipbuilders are encouraged to get the vaccine elsewhere if the opportunity presents itself. We will also continue to improve our vaccination process so that we are ready when our next batch of the vaccine arrives.

We were encouraged by the enthusiasm shown by our shipbuilders when the first vaccine shipment arrived last week, and we thank you for your patience.
