Shipbuilders from E83 Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY) and E70 Propulsion Plant Planning Yard (PPPY) came together to donate a significant amount of school supplies for this year’s Newport News Shipbuilding’s School Tools Drive. The team built on last year’s generosity and donated more than 4,000 items this year, including notebooks, backpacks and much more.

The Propulsion Plant Engineering Activity (PPEA) within E83 donated a majority of the items and took pride in helping lead this effort. These school supplies will go to the Newport News Department of Social Services, Hampton Social Services, York/Poquoson Social Services, Boys & Girls Clubs of the VA Peninsula, ForKids, Inc. and An Achievable Dream. These organizations will help facilitate distribution of these supplies to children who are in need.
