Newport News Shipbuilding employees from E83 Reactor Plant Planning Yard and E70 Propulsion Plant Planning Yard donated a significant amount of school supplies during the NNS School Tools Drive.

In 2023, E83 collected 3,700 items. The teams built on last year’s generosity and donated more than 7,153 items this year. The Standard Navy Valve Yard Group within E83 donated a majority of the items and took pride in helping lead this effort.

While the shipyard-wide drive ended last week, employees have until Friday, Aug. 16, to donate online. Place an order using YouGiveGoods. School supplies will help children in need throughout the area.
