NNS Gives Volunteer Appreciation Event

Location: Coastal Fermentory (206 23rd St B, Newport News, VA 23607)

​Join the NNS Gives team as we announce and recognize those outstanding volunteers who were nominated by their peers. The event includes an award ceremony, NNS Gives swag, and light appetizers. Please note that food and giveaways are limited. All volunteers and shipbuilders are encouraged to attend this event. This event is open to the public.

Relay For Life of the Peninsula

Location: Todd Stadium, 12465 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA

Newport News Shipbuilding will join forces with the American Cancer Society, sponsoring the 2026 Peninsula Relay For Life. This community event unites cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers and passionate people who believe in a future free from cancer. Everyone is encouraged to show their support and attend this event.

​Join the Apprentice School Student Association, GIFT, LOTUS, SHIPs Network, and WISE ERGs for Brushes & Brunch, a Mother’s Day Event. Come out to have brunch, paint and network with apprentices and other ERG members. This event is open to current apprentices and ERG members. Attendees may bring one guest. There are limited spots available, and registration does not guarantee a spot. There is no charge provided to attend this event.

The L.E.A.R.N. Program and VERG will co-host an after-work presentation with Kari Wilkinson, president of Newport News Shipbuilding, in the Joint Manufacturing and Assembly Facility (JMAF), Bldg. 1908. The event is open to all employees by reservation only.​ Sign up on MyNNS. The event is in-person.
