More than 60 shipbuilders participated in the Fleet Support Engagement Team’s first bowling tournament on Feb. 22.

The engagement team encouraged employees to come out and socialize, even if they were not bowling. Team slots for the event filled up quickly with a mix of experienced bowlers and novices. Prior to the start of the tournament, Walter Williams, Fleet Support production director, thanked participants for coming out for the after-work engagement event.

The engagement team presented first-place plaques to Team “Alley Legends” and second-place framed certificates to Team “Spare Genes.”

“It was great to see the level of engagement in our Fleet Support Team. We work hard every day and it was good to relax and have fun with fellow shipbuilders,” said Thomasina Wright, vice president of Fleet Support Programs.

The Fleet Support Engagement Team is looking forward to reserving the entire bowling alley for the second annual tournament in 2025.
