
Four Shipbuilders Earn Master’s Degrees Via Partnership Program

Newport News Shipbuilding developed Technical Graduate Partnership programs to address core business needs and advance the technical competency of shipbuilders.
This year, four employees continued that success, graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University, each earning a master’s degree in mechanical nuclear engineering. They are Yonathan Kassaye (E81), Mohamed Elrahhal (E92), Joseph Gutshall (E11) and Jacob Rogers (E81).
Since 2013, about 130 NNS employees have graduated from the VCU program. Find out more about this official partnership that helps shipbuilders advance their careers.
