Shipbuilders,

We delivered the Virginia-class submarine Montana (SSN 794) to the Navy Saturday. Congratulations to the thousands of shipbuilders who played a part in the construction, testing and delivery of this magnificent boat. While I am always proud of the craftsmanship of our shipbuilders, this milestone is especially meaningful. Montana – our first new construction delivery since the COVID-19 pandemic upended life as we knew it – is a testament to the resolve and dedication of the women and men of NNS.
