Newport News Shipbuilding’s annual engagement and stay survey, which measures how well employees are connected to NNS’ mission and retention efforts, is underway. Employees have until Oct. 11 to complete the survey.

The survey is facilitated by Gallup and results guide leaders’ understanding of how they are performing as a team – as well as what areas could be improved.

Xavier Beale, vice president of Human Resources and Trades Administration, said the survey will help leaders understand what drives employee retention and other factors that impact company performance.

“Your input is critical to helping shape our employee engagement and retention actions now and into the future,” he said in a letter to shipbuilders.

Employees with company computer access should expect to receive an email from Gallup inviting them to participate. The email is approved and it is appropriate to open the link in order to take the survey. Employees without company computer access can take the survey at a designated time with their crew during work hours.
