Newport News Shipbuilding is a sponsor of the Hampton Roads Heart Walk. Heart walk coaches are NNS employees who have created teams and recruited walkers to participate.

Two coaches have an opportunity to win either a Samsung or an Apple Watch – the coach with the most walkers present at either walk and the coach who raises the largest amount overall. Coaches and their walkers must be present and sign in at the NNS Heart Walk table the day of the walk to be counted for participation. Final funds raised as of Nov. 16 will determine second winner. The Peninsula walk is Nov. 4 at Fort Monroe. The Southside walk is Nov. 11 at Chesapeake City Park.
