The Hampton Roads Heart Walk brought together survivors, individuals, teams and communities in a shared mission: raising awareness about heart health and supporting lifesaving research. HII/NNS had a combined 36 teams with 336 registered walkers, raising $41,230 for the American Heart Association.

One inspiring walker was Jazmine Keemer (X70), who was instrumental in rallying coworkers to join the cause.

“Surviving a heart condition taught me strength I didn’t know I had and supporting the Heart Walk allows me to share that strength with others who may need it,” Keemer said. “The Heart Walk reminds me how far I’ve come and how much hope we’re walking for.”

The 2025 NNS Heart Walk campaign will continue to sell T-shirts and accept donations until the end of the year.
