Newport News Shipbuilding employees are encouraged to participate in the Inspiring Culture Change Survey through Sept. 8. The survey is completely separate from Gallup’s Employee Engagement and Stay surveys that employees will take in September. All responses to the survey will be treated as confidential.​

This one-question survey will help identify shipbuilders who best represent NNS’ workforce and will serve as trusted bridge builders between leadership and the workforce. These shipbuilders will expand on the work of NNS’ ED&I Champions, Safety Task Teams and others to help create the culture the shipyard aspires to have – one that enables and sustains a strong understanding of expectations and standards, and fosters learning, continuous improvement and collaborative problem solving.
