A few weeks ago, we launched a one-question Inspiring Culture Change Survey that asked shipbuilders, “Whose opinion about work do you both trust and respect?”​

I remain committed to keeping you informed, and I’m happy to report that the results are in! A few statistics you may find interesting include:

• Over 17,000 shipbuilders were nominated at least one time
• 7,000 shipbuilders were nominated three to five times
• 388 shipbuilders were identified in the top 2% of nominations

In the coming weeks, I will invite these employees – with the exception of directors and other senior leaders – to participate in our Inspiring Culture Change information session to learn more about this completely voluntary program. Because these shipbuilders are already influential, they have an opportunity to help create our Change Agent Program and positively impact Newport News Shipbuilding’s leadership culture.
