Newport News Shipbuilding is joining forces with the American Cancer Society and sponsoring the 2024 Peninsula Relay For Life. This community event unites cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers and passionate people who believe in a future free from cancer.

You can support the effort by creating a NNS Relay For Life fundraising team today. Follow these easy steps:

1. Come up with a cool team name. This year’s theme is Star Wars/outer space.
2. Review the Relay For Life site on MyNNS or go directly to http://relayforlife.org/nns.
3. Under “Join Us,” type “Newport News” and select the Relay For Life Virginia Peninsula.
4. Follow the registration steps and share your team link with your department, coworkers, friends and family.
5. Use the RFL resources on the MyNNS site for ideas to grow your team support and raise funds.
6. Join the fun at the 2024 Relay For Life on Saturday, May 4.

All shipbuilders are encouraged to participate in this NNS Gives-sponsored program. Consider joining a team, making a donation, purchasing T-shirts and contributing to the luminarias that will line the stadium in remembrance of those who have been affected by cancer.
