Model of Excellence Nominations Now Open
Published April 9, 2025
The Model of Excellence (MOE) nomination period is now open and will close Friday, May 30.
The MOE award is the highest honor you can receive at Newport News Shipbuilding and is presented to any individual or team that demonstrates excellence in supporting the company’s overall strategic priorities and values. Nominating your fellow shipbuilders is an excellent opportunity to acknowledge their hard work and celebrate achievements that exceeded expectations.
All shipbuilders can use the MOE nomination portal on MyNNS to submit a nomination. Projects completed between Jan. 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, are eligible for nomination. Contact your division’s MOE Red Team member if you have questions or need help submitting a nomination – check the division Red Team directory, listed here, to identify your POC.
