Before the green flag drops at the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 race this weekend, viewers nationwide will get a glimpse into the important work being done at Newport News Shipbuilding in service of the nation.

NNS recently hosted Rear Adm. Scott Pappano, Program Executive Office Strategic Submarines, NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski, and a crew from Fox Sports to film a segment about the Navy’s Build Submarines effort, which seeks to expand and develop the submarine industrial base workforce, and the submarine construction work underway in the shipyard.
