Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) recently announced plans for a new work center at Newport News Shipbuilding for sailors and shipbuilders who are assigned to ships undergoing a refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH).

The building will provide approximately 80,000 square feet dedicated to office spaces for sailors and shipbuilders, as well as a fitness center, counseling offices and other areas sailors can use during an RCOH. Construction on the Carrier Refueling Overhaul Workcenter is planned to complete in June 2026.
