In-yard canteens and food trucks at Newport News Shipbuilding will have new operating hours beginning Monday, Nov. 3.

These changes will support production needs while ensuring shipbuilders have dining options during designated meal periods.

The new operating hours are:

• 5 to 6 a.m.
• 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• 7 to 8 p.m.

Food trucks inside the yard have recently been relocated closer to the waterfront to reduce travel time and increase ease of use during lunch periods.

Except for the MicroMarket at Canteen 13 on the Final Assembly Platen – which will be open from 5 to 6 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – MicroMarkets and vending machines remain open 24/7. The Bldg. 520 Café and off-yard food trucks will serve breakfast from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.
