Employees who serve 40 years at Newport News Shipbuilding earn the prestigious title of “Master Shipbuilder.” This year, 200 employees join the ranks. For the last four decades, the men and women in the Class of 1981 have made a difference in the safety of our nation and the promise of our future. They have helped shape the ships that defend our nation while also serving as mentors and leaders for the next generation.
