USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) and Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77) recently conducted a vertical replenishment in the Atlantic Ocean.

CVN 77 offloaded munitions to CVN 78, the world’s largest aircraft carrier. Both ships were built by Newport News shipbuilders. CVN 77 was commissioned in 2009, and CVN 78 was commissioned in 2017.
