Veterans Day was Saturday, Nov. 11. Newport News Shipbuilding honored those who served in the U.S. armed forces last week. Take a look at this video featuring shipbuilders Christopher Lavigne, Keith Hannan, Rilee Kublick, Kerry West, Todd Gular and Craig Heaton as they reflect on their lives as veterans.

The Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG) also hosted a slate of events last week to honor veterans for their service. That included Service Mashup Day on Monday, when shipbuilders were encouraged to wear clothing items to support their favorite branch of the military. Uniformed NNS Security officers who are veterans were allowed to participate by wearing hats representing their branch.
