Tuesday, April 28, is Workers’ Memorial Day. It is observed every year to remember and honor workers around the world who lost their lives, were injured or became ill on the job.

At Newport News Shipbuilding, wreaths are located at major entry points throughout the shipyard as an opportunity for all shipbuilders to reflect and recommit to making safe decisions, looking out for others and speaking up when they see something unsafe.
