April is National Volunteer Month, and NNS Gives encourages all Newport News Shipbuilding employees to support the communities in which they live and work. Whether you’re volunteering for an NNS program or event, a local nonprofit, school or church, you are making a difference in our community. And it’s time to recognize and celebrate these efforts.

Volunteer Appreciation Event: Join the NNS Gives Team at Coastal Fermentory from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, for an opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and learn more about NNS volunteer programs. The event will include an award ceremony, refresh and NNS Gives swag*. In addition, Coastal Fermentory is donating 10% of sales and 100% of tips from the evening to United Way of the Virginia Peninsula. All volunteers and shipbuilders are encouraged to attend this event. It is open to the public.
