Newport News Shipbuilding is hosting an on-site, open-to-the-public trades hiring event from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Brooks Crossing, located at 550 30th St. in Newport News.

NNS is hiring for numerous entry-level trades and trainee jobs that start at more than $21 per hour. NNS is also hiring for experienced trades positions, and pay increases with experience. Qualified individuals will have the opportunity to interview and may receive an on-the-spot job offer.
