Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a team of shipbuilders from across the company to tackle high-stakes projects with speed and precision as part of the new “Beyond” program.

The program is designed to develop the best ideas from across the team to attack NNS’ hardest problems, particularly those faced by deck plate teams. The team will focus on issues such as production delays, material challenges, process breakdowns, workforce challenges and safety concerns.

“Beyond” is open to salaried exempt individual contributors (level 3 and above) and level 1 and 2 managers. Participants also must be in good standing and have a 2025 year-end performance rating of “meets expectations” or higher.
