In November, United Steelworkers (USW) Local 8888 members at Newport News Shipbuilding voted against a new labor contract negotiated with NNS over the course of several months.

Work continues under a contract extension, and all current contract terms and conditions will be honored. To be as transparent as possible with the workforce, NNS has launched a website (nns.huntingtoningalls.com/laborupdates) to keep employees informed about the process and its potential impacts, including clarifying misinformation.
