Newport News Shipbuilding is implementing several improvements and additions to parking, both near the shipyard and at remote locations, to make your commute easier. Some are already in effect while others will be enacted shortly.

Starting Monday, Aug. 1, 140 park-and-ride spaces will be available at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport between McManus Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive. Coach bus service will operate before and after first shift. Additionally, another 250 parking spaces are now available at Bldg. 600. In both cases, employees with Zone A or Zone B hangtags can use these spaces.

Additional Zone B spaces are available near the United Steelworkers Local 8888 Union Hall and at the Bldg. 908 Parking Garage.
