Newport News Shipbuilding’s annual School Tools Drive runs through Friday, Aug. 7.

Any shipbuilder can pick up and oversee donation boxes, which are available in the silver bin by the Rock and at NetCenter. Corporate Citizenship also offers delivery options for buildings outside the shipyard.

The Backpack Challenge is officially on! NNS is collecting both clear and standard backpacks, but clear backpacks are especially needed for Newport News Public Schools students.

School supply drop-off options:

• In the shipyard: Bring all full donation boxes to the marked bins in the yard by the end of the day on Aug. 7.
• Outlying buildings: Plan to bring all collected supplies to Bldg. 888 (Brooks Crossing), located at 550 30th St., on the Innovation Center side of the building from Aug. 10-12.
• Large quantities: Please contact CorporateCitizenship@hii-nns to make pick-up arrangements on Aug. 10.
