Newport News Shipbuilding will offer liberal leave starting with third shift tonight (Sunday, Jan. 25), through 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26. This means that liberal leave will be offered for all of third shift and the beginning of first shift on Monday. First shift shipbuilders can report at their normal start time or take liberal leave through 8 a.m. – however, all shipbuilders on first shift are expected to report to work by 8 a.m. on Monday unless they receive different instructions from their supervisor.

If road conditions are unsafe where you live and you are unable to report to work as a result, please let your supervisor know.

Parking in NNS parking lots will be open during third shift, but will revert back to standard parking guidelines for first shift. NNS shuttle services remain operational.

NNS shipbuilders working at offsite locations should follow offsite reporting direction.
