Newport News Shipbuilding Talent Acquisition will continue to host open-to-the-public, walk-in hiring events for trade opportunities every Wednesday through September. These events are for job seekers interested in NNS trade careers. Events will be held at the NNS Employment Office, located at NetCenter (Suite 176, Entrance 3), from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Job seekers will have the opportunity for an interview and “on-the-spot” job offer if qualified.

Since Walk-in Wednesday events started in January, more than 3,000 job seekers have been interviewed, with more than 2,500 job seekers receiving on-the-spot job offers.

“Three thousand is a huge number,” said Ryan Sparks, manager of trades hiring. “Every week, new job seekers show up for an opportunity to interview and get hired on the spot.”

NNS employees are encouraged to share these hiring event opportunities. Employees who refer a trade candidate who is hired could earn a $1,000 employee REFER cash bonus award.
