Bird electric scooters have appeared on streets surrounding Newport News Shipbuilding in recent months. However, NNS employees are prohibited from using these scooters while on the clock. If assistance is needed to travel, shipbuilders should use NNS-provided methods of transportation – such as shuttles – during their shift or when arriving to and departing from work.

Shipbuilders also should note that personal and Bird scooters are restricted from use on any NNS property, including parking lots and garages.
