Personal scooters, skateboards and similar modes of transportation are restricted from use on any NNS property, including parking lots and garages.

Shipbuilders are also prohibited from using these modes of transportation while on the clock. If assistance is needed to travel, shipbuilders should use NNS-provided methods of transportation, such as shuttles and in-yard taxis. Shuttles are also available to assist employees when arriving to and leaving from work.

As a reminder, shipbuilders using NNS-provided bicycles on property must adhere to the same rules as vehicles. This includes stopping for pedestrians at crosswalks, stopping at stop signs, and staying in the road – not riding in pedestrian walkways.
