One City Marathon Traffic, Road Closures and Parking Information

Published March 4, 2022

The One City Marathon is expected to bring hundreds of runners, spectators and guests to downtown Newport News on Saturday, March 5, and Sunday, March 6. As a result, employees working over the weekend can expect traffic delays and congestion around the shipyard due to street and road closures that intersect with the race route. Cars and pedestrians will be able to cross the race route only when race officials or law enforcement personnel signal that the path is clear of runners and is safe.
