As a reminder, open parking is available to all Newport News shipbuilders from 1 p.m. until 1 a.m. Monday through Friday and on weekends in NNS parking spaces outside of the shipyard.

During open parking:

• Vehicles must still be in a designated parking space.
• Vehicles parked in a hangtag-controlled lot must have a visible hangtag displayed, with the hangtag identification number visible.

Open parking does not apply to spaces that are marked 24/7 reserved or spaces designated for Navy, handicap or expectant mother parking. Open parking also does not apply for privately owned lots.

Vehicles parked in a space without the corresponding hangtag outside of open parking hours (before 1 p.m. or after 1 a.m.) will be towed at the owner’s expense.
