The parking lot on 39th Street between Washington and Huntington avenues will be impacted by a cooling tower repair project. To accommodate the necessary staging, construction vehicles and laydown area, the first three rows of the parking lot – Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SOS) parking spaces one through 46 – will close Friday, May 1, through Sunday, July 5. These spaces are marked in red in the image below.

To offset the lost spaces, SOS parking will temporarily relocate to the Zone A section of the parking lot. The green parking spaces in the image below are the first 41 Zone A spaces. Shipbuilders who normally park in these spaces can park at Bldg. 600 – in Zone B only – and ride the NNS shuttle to gates at 50th, 46th, 42nd and 31st streets.
