PEER Program Seeks Candidates for 20th Cohort

The Professional Enhancement and Enrichment Rotation (PEER) Program is preparing for the January 2023 onboarding of Cohort 20 and the celebration of the program’s 10-year anniversary.
The PEER Program is a two-year rotation program for salaried individual contributors. It includes four different rotations in six-month cycles. The program was initially launched by NNS President Jennifer Boykin when she was vice president of Engineering and Design and known as the Engineering and Design Rotation Program (EDRP).
In 2017, it expanded to include all full-time, salaried individual contributors and was retitled PEER. There is no shortage of success stories from the past 10 years.
“Participating in the PEER Program has literally changed my life, and now I have a new and exciting career path,” said Anthony Edwards. He also praised PEER Program Manager Gary Figg for his mentorship.
More than 25 EDRP/PEER graduates have moved into leadership roles and are now serving as PEER host managers. Over 50% of the program’s graduates have transferred into new home departments. The PEER program emphasizes professional and personal development towards an end goal of career fulfillment.
“The PEER Program has meant lifelong professional development on a level I could not find anywhere else,” said Rueben Rosalez.
Successful PEER participants grow to be innovative, collaborative, adaptive, results driven and engaged – the components of the program’s ICARE brand.
Full-time salaried individual contributors who are interested in the PEER Program can register for a lunch and learn or open house event on MyNNS. The PEER nomination form and testimonials from participants are available on the PEER website on MyNNS.
