USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) completed flight deck certification and carrier air traffic control center certification last week in the Atlantic Ocean. This was part of the ship’s basic training phase prior to operational deployment. Newport News Shipbuilding recently completed Ford’s first planned incremental availability.
