Do you have a project idea for Research and Development? Newport News Shipbuilding has begun a continuous call for proposals. Ideas can now be submitted on the Research and Development website.

The current campaign for National Shipbuilding Research Program (NSRP) panel project ideas runs through Aug. 9. Panel projects are 12-month projects that are $200,000 or less in effort. Any research proposals for research, development and implementation of relevant technologies or improved processes for the U.S. shipbuilding and ship repair enterprise that will promote strategic objectives of that mission should be submitted for the NSRP funding consideration. R&D projects that lead to full implementation into shipbuilding operations are very desirable.
